Assateague Outfitters is located on Assateague Island National Seashore. They are an eco-tourism company offering kayak and bike rentals, eco-tours, as well as gear and goods for visitors. Tom and Neil, proprietors of A/O, needed a identifiable and unique logo that to be used on a large amount of touch points from signage to merchandise. The company’s love of local wildlife has been a part of the brand since its inception. The horseshoe crab is synonymous with the Island, but it’s not always celebrated. Tom and Neil decided it was time. Simplification was the key to a successful logo. A need for a logo that is functional in a multitude of colors and backgrounds for merchandising and identifiable from long distances on park signage.
