Choptank Tattoo

Choptank Tattoo is a small tattoo parlor located in Cambridge, MD – AKA Groove City. In it’s past, Cambridge was known for it’s connection to great Black American singers and songwriters. For a short time in his youth it was the home and stomping ground of Jay-Z.  Much like Jay-Z altered the meanings of lyrics, the job of this brandmark and typography was to bring a classic icon such as the mallard and stylize it and make it relevant for today.
